ICON Magazine: A beautiful new resource for visual art lovers

Launched in November 2013, ICON Magazine is a glossy print publication featuring stunning photographs and in-depth editorial supplied by expert curators from over 20 major art galleries and museums around Australia.

“Australia’s major art galleries, museums and cultural institutions are iconic, each investing huge amounts of effort and money putting on exhibitions and blockbuster events every year,” says ICON Magazine editor Robert Wilson.

“Seen in isolation, this may not seem such a big deal, but when you aggregate all this work into one place at the one time, then you start to fully appreciate the scale of what is collectively happening at our major institutions.”

And because the editorial content has been supplied directly from the icons themselves, the photographs in ICON Magazine are superb – magnificent pieces of artwork professionally photographed and printed on high-quality gloss art paper, giving you a gorgeous, coffee-table style magazine full of the best art on exhibition around Australia.

ICON is published bi-monthly – six times a year – and is distributed nationally through selected gallery and museum shops, as well as 700+ newsagents, and through subscription offers directly targeting the 230,000+ Friends and Members of ICON’s partner institutions.

And because ICON Magazine and Australian Artists United share the same goal of featuring and promoting Australian visual arts and culture, all AAU followers will receive a 10% discount on their subscription to ICON, with the coupon code AAU2014.
